Who I am

I am 27 years old, live in Cologne and was the only one with red hair in my class even as a kid. What used to annoy me sometimes is what I see today as the thing that makes me unique. I am open about the fact that my hair color plays a role in dating – and I think it is time to talk about it honestly instead of just feeding clichés.

On Rothaarige-Frauen.de I write about exactly that: the fascination many men feel for red hair, the experiences I have had dating myself, and the questions other redheaded women keep asking me. How do I deal with clumsy pickup lines? How do I find someone who sees me as a person and not just my hair color?

How it all started

It all began with countless dates where my red hair was almost always the first thing anyone talked about. At first I found that exhausting. Over time, though, I started looking more closely at which men showed genuine interest and which ones just had a cliché in their heads. That experience helped me communicate much more clearly what I want from getting to know someone.

Those experiences shaped me. And I want to pass them on, because back then I would have loved to have someone tell me honestly how dating as a redheaded woman really works.
